The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Association of Transformation in Film and Television (ATFT) will take a delegation of emerging South African filmmakers to the American Film Market (AFM) and partner with established filmmakers to mentor them leading up to and at the market.
ATFT will register as an exhibitor and take an office on the 3rd floor of the Loews Hotel during AFM as well as a booth in the Atrium 8th floor to market South Africa as a shooting destination of choice. ATFT will take a total of 17 filmmakers and producers to AFM this year through the DTI’s emerging filmmakers group scheme SSAS.
The 37th AFM will take place from November 4th-11th, 2015. The AFM provides the tools and opportunities for Exhibitors to present their films and projects to 1,500+ Buyers from 70 countries – all gathered in one location and ready to do business.
The delegation leaders from ATFT are Mayenzeke Baza
